Serneke is a construction group with a strong social pathos. The goal is to be perceived as the most innovative, committed and dynamic company in the industry. This requires a transparent business climate and a high level of ethics. Serneke's values and code of conduct are the basis for this. But it is important that everyone knows the Code of Conduct and lives by it, not just employees and managers. Subcontractors must also live up to the guidelines in it. With around 1,000 employees and a host of subcontractors spread across different regions, this can be a challenge.
In order to reach out to everyone in an effective way, Involve, together with Serneke, has developed a dilemma-based digital solution. It provides the framework for the Code of Conduct - why is there a code, what is it based on and how can I act if I see or perceive something that violates it. It is followed by an in-depth session that considers a number of possible dilemmas, ranging from safety failures in the workplace to questionable gifts or questionable meetings before tenders. Many times, what is right or wrong is not black and white and obvious, it requires both reflection and sometimes discussion.
With the digital solution, Serneke has an effective tool for learning more about the Code of Conduct, both on its own and as a group tool in joint discussions. It is flexible and can be expanded with more topical dilemmas over time.
The solution is responsive and therefore works well on different devices such as a computer, tablet or phone - making it easy to reach everyone, even those who don't work at a computer on a daily basis.
"Thought the training was great, especially with practical dilemmas that I think many will recognise and where the answer may not always be entirely obvious. "
"What a sensible education. I liked the structure very much!"
